This is a great choice for a B&B if you're going to stay in Amsterdam. It's all been said in other reviews, but it deserves to be said again. I'll try and make it short. For those who
don't want details, I would just say it's wonderful.
Ralph and Kitty are so welcoming and warm. We were met at the airport for the small extra charge of 15 euros by kitty. Ralph sat us down and gave us lots of useful information and a map.
Whenever we needed directions or opening hours or train schedules, or good places to eat during our 4 night stay, they provided it. Even gave us a computer print out once.
Our room was the one with a door to the canal and the terrace. It was airy, light, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Everything one could need was there, including plates, bowls and
cutlery. Even a little kitchenette, with microwave, and refrigerator, and jugs of chilled water. We watched the small boats going by.
Breakfast is a sight to see, with a great choice.
Getting to anywhere in the city was easy. There are trams close-by.It takes about 20 minutes to the centre. And there are stops before that, with nice little shops and restaurants, The
Metro is about 3 minutes away.
The Wi-fi signal is strong.
OK so the shower and the two toilets are shared with the only other room, but this was never a problem. If you have to have en suite facilities, go somewhere else, but you'll be missing a
really nice place to stay.
We had some nice and very interesting discussions on many different things with Ralph and Kitty. My wife at one stage mentioned how she loved cherries, but that they were always expensive
in England. Kitty very sweetly got her some when she went to the supermarket!
All in all we loved our stay here and would highly recommend it

Positive Experiences: We just got back from a wonderful stay in Amsterdam. Our weekend away was much more fun due to the helpfulness of Rhalf and Kitty who run a wonderful bed and breakfast place not far from the town centre. They offer a wonderful and extensive breakfast that keeps you going all day long. They are helpful about suggesting places to go and visit. It was clean and friendly. My husband and I would highly recommend this as a place to stay. It is right on a canal and 2 minutes walk from a tram line which takes you straight into the centre of Amsterdam.
Friendly helpful place to

Positive Experiences: Kitty and Rhalf were really friendly and made our stay in Amsterdam more unforgettable. Kitty showed us all interesting places in a map, showed us our room with a beautiful view for a channel. We were more than happy we made a reservation in this B&B. The breakfast is also included in a price and I have to say it was DELICIOUS!!! The tram station is really close and you are in 15 minutes in the center. If I go to Amsterdam next time, I´ll def stay in this B&B. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

Positive Experiences: Rhalf and Kitty are absolutely wonderful! The moment we arrived they were extremely warm and welcoming. Once we got our bags inside they gave us a map of the city, as well as a map showing the tram system, and explained everything we needed to know so that we could navigate Amsterdam stress free. They even asked our plans for our stay and broke down which tram/bus to catch, etc. Once we finished they showed us to our room. The room was spacious, clean, and designed well. The bathroom is shared, but that was no problem what so ever. The restroom is kept very clean, and there are toilets located both upstairs and down. The bed is also very comfortable, which was very welcoming after long days of sight seeing. Breakfast was incredible as well and very satisfying. Overall our stay was magnificent, and we will definitely return if we make it back to Amsterdam.
Wonderful

Positive Experiences: Rhalf and Kitty were terrific hosts and the warmth and genuine care you receive from them is worth much more than what they charge.
Some examples
1.Rhalf got up at 5 30 to help us with our bags.
2.He got us print out of our tickets so we didn't have to be flustered on the morning of our flight
3. When we came home tired after a hard day of sight seeing, seeing the room so neat and well arranged made us forget everything.
Apart from this of course practical and neat room, proximity to tram stop, metro, good and healthy breakfast are some other pros. Chose this BnB for hassle free stay in Amsterdam.
Brilliant
stay

Positive Experiences: I was there with my friend in june 2014 for 2 days. The feeling in this b&b is like you at home. The host Kitty is very hospitable and friendly. She can
talk with you with pleasure and give some helpful information about the city and the country. And she gives you city maps. She has 2 rooms for guests which are are very clean. And the bysicles on
the walls are super! Rooms are placed near the canal so beware an angry duck outside the window :)
Breakfasts are different and on a high level.

Positive Experiences: Rhalf and Kitty were very friendly, willing to help with what ever you need. They provided tasty breakfast, giving the option of choosing the time for
serving. The room was very clean, with big and comfortable bed and it had a lovely view to the canal. They also had a really cool bikes to rent at a reasonable price. B&b is even being a
little bit far from downtown connected to it very well and the tram station is very close, so you have ability to get there in 15 minutes. We had a wonderful time and we will be definitely be
back! Greetings Rhalf and Kitty!!!

Positive Experiences: We stayed in the B&B Amsterdam West for 5 days. We couldn't ask for a better experience: Kitty and Rhalf are a very nice couple that give you all the info about the city and tell you the best places to go. The room that we stayed in had an amazing bed with an entrance to a small backyard that is close to a canal. The breakfast is even better than in a Hotel. My girlfriend is lactose intolerant so everyday she had soya milk/yoghurt. The tour around the city with Kitty was a top notch experience!
Improvements: There's nothing to improve in our opinion, best possible place we could have gone.

Positive Experiences: Amsterdam West is a small B&B with only a couple of rooms. The hosts are very friendly and full of information, facts and history about the city. They
make a real effort to make sure that you get from Amsterdam what you have in mind. We had a room in the lower level of the house which was quite spacious and had direct access to the river side.
The bed was huge. The bathroom in not ensuite but close to the room and very clean. It even has a small sauna. Breakfast is included and is very good. The location is a bit outside of the city
centre, you need a tram ride of about 15-20 minutes to the centre. The tram stop is at the end of the street (2 minutes walk). The neighbourhood is safe and quiet and there's free parking
space.
I would advise everyone to stay here when visiting Amsterdam!
Great place to stay in

Positive Experiences: Ralph and Kitty are excellent hosts. Nice and helpful, they gave us many useful tips and valuable information for our trips. The room is in compliance with description, clean and quiet. In a moment you arrive in the city center, 5 minutes by tram, 10 by bike through a beautiful park.

Positive Experiences: I must admit that you don't get a great feeling when you first walk into jan broedelstraat since it's a little secluded and away from all the action. But
the feeling melted the moment we started talking to Rhalf and Kitty. They are really nice people who go out of their way to ensure their guests have a great holiday.
1) Rooms: very atmospheric with the baseman bike perched on the wall. Lovely sit out balcony in one of the rooms. Extremely tastefully done. Spacious room and a very comfortable low bed.
2) Amenities: very efficient toilet and shower and sauna. Sharing it with the other room occupants was something we were ready for so no problem. Fridge, microwave, lovely bikes and small little
things like maps, chargers, umbrellas etc lent to us. Great wifi.
3) Breakfast: brilliant. Loved the pancakes, the brioche and the generous toppings.
4) Service: felt very well looked after. Rhalf and Kitty are great hosts. Thanks for cleaning the room so well when we were out. The small touches were evident. Rhalf took a lot of time to
explain the city, it's attractions and made great recommendations on museums, drinking and shopping.cheers.
5) location: very good eventually since the empty streets could be used in practising some cycling. The tram line is a minutes walk and you will be in the centre in no time.
6) Others: they have an awesome music collection. And a great sense of humour too.
Will recommend this place to anyone going to amsterdam.
