+ Best B&B in Amsterdam for sure, Rhalf en Kitty great hostess, on arrival explain all Amsterdam tips, public transport matters, place must be visit, shortly, after Rhalf explanation you can go back to home))) so simple and nice Amsterdam review. Nice apartments in authentic house exactly on the Amsterdam canals, 3 min walking distance to any public transport and 15-20 min to Central Station*. Nice, silent place. Rooms are decorated with nice design. Good breakfast served each morning, sufficient to start your day. 100% recommended and of course we come back if have a chance 👍

+ This is not a simple B&B like many others, you can immediately feel at home. Everything is perfect, there is everything you need and the view is wonderful. You will never feel alone because there are many friends: fish, ducks and cats outside but above all there are Ralph and his wife who are the heart of the house. Ralph is a wonderful and welcoming person, an excellent cook and a professional coffee maker. We spent some good breakfasts in his company. The room was perfectly clean and the breakfast was varied and delicious. Upon our arrival Ralph gave us a lot of useful information about the Amsterdam city. The location of the house is excellent for getting around with trams and metro just a few minutes walk away. We hope to return to this city soon and meet Ralph again with his ability to host. Usually we forget the B&B but in this case we won't forget this experience and the kindness of the people we met.

+ Ralph was a super host, he was very helpful and the breakfast was so good. He recommended places to visit and to eat. The place was near to the city centre by tram and metro. It was very clean and we felt very comfortable.

- Although we had privacy, I would have liked to have a key to separate the apartment we were using to the common area.

+ Super comfortable bed, lovely bedding and pillows. Lots of quirky little extras, including a sauna! Rhalf and Kitty were so welcoming from the moment we arrived. Wonderful breakfast with lots of Dutch treats. We will definitely be back!

+ The host were very welcoming, helpful and informative about the area. Convenient access to trams and trains allowed us to easily visit the sites we wanted to see.The sitting area, bedroom were comfortable. Breakfast was a plentiful choice of cold meats, yogurt, eggs, cereals and breads. A bowl of fresh fruit was in our sitting room everyday.

+ It is very close to public transport and thus the city centre, yet in a quiet area. The bed is super comfortable, everything is just percect, the amenities the decoration, the separated toilet, the living room area. Loved it! The breakfast is just incredible but the best is the owners! Extremely helpful, kind, interesting people.

- The only criticism is that the lighting is very poor in the bathroom and the fact that the toilet and shower were in separate areas were a bit bothersome for me. Other than this, facilities were super clean and comfortable.

NOTE: We like the toilet and bathroom separate for the obvious reason.

+ We had a wonderful experience at the B&B Amsterdam West. We were delighted with the excellent services offered by the owners and the comfort of our room. Rhalf and Kitty were always available to us and provided useful information about the best places to visit and how to get there . The room and the bathroom were very clean and tastefully decorated and the terrace is a great plus because it's right on the river. . The breakfast was delicious, with fresh and high-quality products . The location is ideal for exploring Amsterdam, being close to the most popular tourist attractions as well as public transportation. We had a wonderful vacation and we will surely be back.

+ We loved our stay with these hosts and their two cats. The appartment was very nice and stylish, everything was superbly clean and the proximity of the canal was very unusual (at least for us) - in a good way 🙂 The breakfast upstairs and a nice chat with the hosts was a perfect start to every day. The place is conveniently located just a 2min walk from tram 13 which goes directly to the city centre, but also not very far from the airport. We will definitely stay here again next time we go to Amsterdam!

- We liked everything! If I had to find a flaw it would be a lack of storage space (no wardrobe or a chest of drawers) - no problem for our 3 day stay but it may be for someone who stays for a week..

+ Ralph is very kind and thoughtful. His guidance and chats with him during breakfast added a personal touch to our trip. The place is immaculate and Ralph without even asking us, cleaned up our rooms for us. I feel embarrassed for not keeping the room tidy during our stay because we were always in hurry. The location is very accessible. Tram station is a few minutes walk from the place. The breakfast was delicious. He gave instructions on what places to visit on the map for best experience. I highly recommend this place if you are in Amsterdam.

- Not a serious issue but would be nice if there were a ventilation system in the toilet downstairs.

+ Very nice accommodation, but especially great hosts! Thanks to their recommendations we got to know many interesting places in Amsterdam, avoided those crowded with tourists, enjoyed the local atmosphere. + Great view outside, great location (about 45 minutes of walk to the town centre), very tasty breakfast and all these things for a reasonable price. High recommendation for anyone who want to visit Amsterdam. And the best thing - the host. Very kind and helpful. We've got a lot of interesting information about the city and places which are worth visiting but which are not that known and popular. Just awesome!

- The only thing that could be improved is room temperature. It was a bit too cold. We had additional electric heaters, however theirs efficiency wasn't enough. But hot shower + sauna could replace that :) It wasn't a big issue for us - this is the only thing I can see that can be improved. Probably in more warmer season there are no issues at all

Reply: It would have helped if you asked us about the heating as you  turned of the heating yourself.

+ Amazing and cosy place where you feel like home. The hosts are really kind and helpful (we had some emergency situation and we got help immediately, which was way more than we expected). Right after we arrived they showed us what to see and where to go in Amsterdam. The room was perfectly clean with an amazing view at the canal. Localization is also perfect, nearby subway station. Delicious, fresh breakfast made by Rhalf on our eyes - hot buns, pancakes together with tasty coffee. It's just the perfect start of the day. For sure we will come back there. We truly recommend this place to everyone!
